Greetings all. In light of our upcoming first anniversary, Star Fleet R&D wants to give back to the community.
After much thought, we have come up with a great idea to give back to you all for all the support over this year, and to promote our new Forum as well.
If this goes well, hopefully this will be the first of many to come.

Have you ever wanted to design a ship, or have you designed it, but don't have the modeling skills to make her in 3D? Or have you ever tried and gave up? Maybe our modders didn't want to build her?

After some talks, we have decided to drop the (- Only people who have never modeled before are invited to submit their ship concept (if you can/have model/ed this contest is not for you - you can build your own) rule. We are now opining it to everyone. It was also purposed that we lift the medical requirement, but we will still keep it as to keep the playing field level. There are so few Med ship, and every body loves to make combat, and soon we will have a contest for one, but test out and learn new skills making a Med ship.

We accept and 2d format you want to use. If you want to hand draw, or use a paint program. Good luck to all and see links above.

To attract more attention because most people who regularly visit specific game forums tend to stick to them and rarely visit other, larger forums, such as this one (Entertainment), so they tend to miss things that aren't posted in their favorite forums.

Local Jedi Knight community is the perfect example. Not counting Raz0r, most of them never post anywhere else except in Jedi Academy Modding, Mapping and Editing section.

Of course, doors swing both ways, so the people who prefer large(er) forums and rarely (if ever) visit game forums down there, also tend to miss things that aren't posted where they usually hang out.

Tricorder is right, i'm trying to reach the hole community to stimulate growth through out the ST gaming community. Technically you can conceder it a spam, but this is meant to reach people in all forum.

In hine sight, i think i posted this in the wrong place,lol. If a moderator could move this to the right place for me, i;d be grateful.

Why? Starbase 42 subforum is meant for posting Star Trek related stuff, so this is the perfect place for this thread.

Next time, instead of posting about it, you might consider contacting a Moderator or a Super Moderator and explaining the situation to them. They don't really like it when people try to do their job. I know what I'm talking about. I used to be one of them. ;)

Picture wasn't showing up. I've tried copying the URL of the picture and pasting it directly to the address bar, but that didn't work either. It took me to the page on your forum which said that I need to log in to access the attachment which I can't do since I don't have an account there. How does that make me picky? :lookaround:

Anyway, thank you for the picture. I'll use it to bait Sov / Ari to my what if thread. :lulz:

As for singing up, well, I can sign up, but I would be useless there. I don't have any ship design to offer. Sorry.
