Who here wants a Star Trek Voyager movie?

I loved the series, but there's a few things that go unanswered:

- What happens to all the super-advanced technology Voyager brings back?
- What effect does the destruction of the transwarp conduit system have on the Borg? (since they just show up again later anyway)
- Does the doctor ever pick a name?
- Seven?

I've been wondering the same thing. What did the Starfleet do with it? Was it put to good use or locked away (or maybe even destroyed) because it's from the future?

I guess it didn't have any significant effect on them. It simply forced them to use their standard Transwarp drive and therefore take more time to travel.

To be honest, I don't really care much about this. It would be nice to know, but it's irrelevant.

I don't think we need a Voyager movie. Voyager was tied up pretty well (even though some parts of the show spoilt Trek). There wasn't really any storyline left for the crew of Voyager to be honest.

We know that Janeway was promoted to Admiral, Tuvok apparently went to serve on the Titan with Riker (from the books). It is safe to assume many of the crew either retired, or went to serve on other ships.

I'd imagine Voyager and all of her tech was quarantined. We know the Federation has a strict policy on time travel and suchlike, so it is a safe assumption that Voyager was 'locked up' for study and such.

Even with future tech, I find it hard to believe that Federation peeps wouldn't study the ship and use some of the tech (even though they're going to invent it at some point in the future anyway).

I doubt much. The Borg, afterall, will adapt. Besides, I believe that was only one transwarp conduit, I'd be suprised if they didn't have others.

Probably, but who knows what it'll be?

I doubt she joined Starfleet, nor do I believe she worked with the Federation to any great extent. She probably spent a good number of years finding out more about humanity etc.

Suffice to say, I don't think there is enough to make a movie on Voyager, especially considering every question here, could be answered / mentioned in a TNG movie / future show.

Well there was a rather good book I read once, I wouldn't mind seeing that get a movie adaptation, it dealt with the frozen borg remains left on earth from first contact (this was before enterprise did it)

long story short, a new borg queen on earth is made, some drones, starfleet realises this, and voyager is blamed, and its up to Janeway and her ex-crew to clear their names.

A voyager movie would be pretty neat, but unnecessary. Several novels already elaborated on what happened after they came home. Besides, with the current ST direction, the "prime" universe will be sidetracked for the forseeable future, in favor of the new alternate reality of STXI.

Novels are irrelevant. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile!

I've never read any of the Star Trek books, so I don't know what happened in them. Plus, reading a book and watching a movie isn't the same. Therefore, I want the movie!

and the books aren't necessarily completely cannon, making a movie embeds the facts as part of the ST universe.

i.e. if we were to believe books, lore would actually be a time travelling data from the future, Wesley Crusher would actually be cool, and the Enterprise-D would be sentient.

I think, a movie on this, would be real lame. The Borg have been done to death (especially by Voyager). Let them rest.

You can get the general idea of what various books are about though, thus whilst you wouldn't read them, you'll get the basic idea.

Like you said, some books are considered canon, others are not. It is open to interpretation as to which ones are, and which ones aren't.
