Star Trek XI: What They Should Do...

Romulans.

The Romulan War!

If i was going to make the new star trek movie it would be the following.

People entering the cinema room, everyone is seated and oke! movie starts.

Music starts.. not the familiar tone we know. Something modern, elektronic spacey.. Stars are streaking and music starts changing into more exciting tone. We see the title.. Its star trek XI!
The title fades away and we see stars again but the camera has stopped. Music has dropped but we hear a new modern space track. The camera goes down. Music starts playing louder while the camera zooms in. A solar system is being zoomed in, in a shakery position like battlestar galactica does. We see explosions everywhere, (Dead planets with lava etc are everywhere.) federation ships and romulan ships are battling with each other. Camera zooms fast in! Music is full to the beat, and modern elektronic. A new modern connie like the one of Gabe Koerner but really armoured and shiny like the effects of bsg and the new b5, is firing multiple phaser and torpedoes from all sides like a pirateboat to a rommie warbird. Explosions and shields are visible on both ships. Camera rolls to federation fighter that is firing on rom fighter. Suddenly a phaserbeam fires and just glimps above the fighter. Camera shakes like hell! Camera zooms to a miranda armoured looking class, and phasers are firing again. Camera turns to the target. A dead planet explodes hard!! Pieces of debris and shockwaves are everywhere. Slowly federation ships are turning in all the debris and shockwaves and are returning fire to the warbirds. No damages is visible to the ships while rocks hits the ships. We see in the distances, fed ships and vice versa that are really damaged ramming the enemy. And then we go to the main character!!

I think it would be a superb entrance. New spacey hard music like the one we sometimes hear in b5 and bsg. No knight music or so or orchestra but real spacey and elektronic.

agreed. The borg was an interesting twist.. but the more they had used them, the weaker they got. They should have stayed that unstoppable menace that they were in the first episode they aired them.

I always wanted to see more about the romulans. They always had it against the klingons but hardly any about this race.

THANK YOU!!!! I thought I was the only one. I've always wanted a real good movie on the Romulans (not the crap they put out for the last one) Something that got us involve like Star Trek VI

I say it's time The Romulan Empire was taken into the Federation.

Personally? I'd like to see a departure from the conventional Trek film... something with real depth and story.

Set after Nemesis/Dominion War, a battered Cardassian Union is on the verge of joining the Federation, a move opposed by remnants of the Obsidian Order, the Tal Shiar and Section 31. Basically I'd like to see something dealing with the intelligence side of Trek, and not just the crap they had Bashir do.

I like the idea of the Cardassians joining the Federation. It would be strange yes, but different. That is what a Trek Series or Movie needs - Something Different / New.
