What makes you say that? He was the Federation Ambassador to the Klingon Empire, meaning he would still be on a Starfleet posting.

As above, he never left Starfleet, he was made the Federation Ambassador to the Klingon Empire, working for the Federation in communication with the Klingons.

Are you sure on that? If my memory serves me correctly, when he left DS9, he was wearing a Klingon Uniform.
If you wanted to draw the series away from Enterprise E, how about a story line something like the video game ST Elite Force II only use Titan characters on top of Enterprise E characters? In the end to explain what happened to the Enterpise E, Picard get's too old and get's promoted, refits the ent e and uses it as his Admiral's ship.
I'm going to do as I am fond of doing and point out that in the novels right before Nemesis, Worf resigns as ambassador to the Klingon Empire, in order to take his position on the Enterprise E again, thus why hes at the wedding and on the ship in Nemesis.
Personally Tycoon I love your idea for ST XI, I'm not to fond of having the Ent E destroyed but as long as she kicks some ass beforehand I'm happy. One other thing this would do is let us see who actually became XO on the Big E (yes I know that in the deleted scenes the new XO was shown so don't bother pointing it out.)

I just re-read the thread, and realised I had misread your post. Worf left in a Starfleet Uniform, however during the memory montages all the crew were going through Worf remembered a point in which he was wearing a Klingon Uniform. So he actually left the Station in a starfleet uniform but a flashback showed him in a Klingon one.
