i thought that it was an OK show, but in the fourth season, it picked up immeasurably... too bad they didn't think of doing what they're doing now a few years ago...

aaaah, a wonderful quote a found on DITL that comments on ST:V, but works on Enterprise:

Quote:

Some good stuff here, then, but the flaws are jarring and spoil the ride.

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

now, this is interesting:

http://www.startrek.com/startrek/vie...icle/9996.html

it says that Jon Frakes and Marina Sirtis (if you have to ask you their characters were...) are going to be in the Enterprise season finale, named "These are the voyages..." it also says that they're going to be on a holo-deck (were these invented during Enterprise?!), but it has to be somewhere in the Enterprise-era universe, since Manny Coto said that there's no time travel... weird

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

we know that holodecks didn't exist in kirk's time... hmmm, something wicked this way comes.

Guyver March 12th, 2005 06:23 PM

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

Eh, thats gonna be really strange since there were no holodecks in Kirks time as Dread has pointed out.

blurb23 March 12th, 2005 06:31 PM

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

and it's gonna be ESPIECIALLY weird since Frakes and Sirtis will be on their, and for some reason, there are people 300 years later, that will look exactly like them....

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

Ok your probably going to flip when you see this regarding Jonathan Frakes. If you scroll down far enough to see the TV shows he's made noteable guest appearances in you'll see that he's going to be playing the character of Capt. William Riker in that episode of Enterprise.

EDIT
I also found this about Marina Sirtis. Again if you scroll down far enough to see the noteable TV guest appearances you'll see that she's gonna play the character of Cmdr. Deanna Troi Riker in that same episode of Enterprise. Thats definatly going to be one strange episode of Enterprise.

Indeed. I think the Captain, and Commander are going to be from different universes.

Cause the one I know of, has a Captain William Riker Troi (say that to his face, and you'll wind up in the brig.), and a Cmdr Deanna Troi. :deal:

riker and troi are on the holodeck of the titan and they are running a simulation of the first enterprise

From the information I found on their names and the other information posted about their being a holodeck I think thats a very real possibility.

blurb23 March 13th, 2005 03:06 PM

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

now that seems like VERY sensible idea there... wow, that would just be amazing... how else would riker and troi get into Enterprise? if they weren't on the holo-deck of the Titan, can you just imagine the riots there would be?

besides, the title of the episode (These are the voyages...) seems right... first voyages of the Titan... can't wait to see the Titan...

BTW, sorry if my post is all screwed up, i think as i type, and the Backspace key has no meaning to me

one question: where'd that question come from? :p so random...

didn't some guy sell one to Kirk or something like that? i never really watched much TOS... *shudders as he thinks of TOS special effects*

Edit: phew! just made the edit deadline! a few facts i found on startrek.com:

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

The Tribble came from an original TOS episode. The Enterprise visited the space station K7, which was being pressured by Klingons (I forgot why).

Uhura met a traveling space salesman on the station, selling a small gerbel thing, and she thought it was cute. Eventually the Tribbles overran the Enterprise, and the K7 station. An old saying here is "They were multiplying like rabbits". They also didn't like Klingons at all, so any time they got near one, they made a lot of noise.

Kirk sentenced the salesman to 30 years community service, removing the Tribbles from the station. Scotty beamed the ones into the engineering section of a Klingon D-7 battlecruiser. "Where dey'll be no tribble at all."

Captain Benjamin Sisco, and Commander Worf paid a visit to the station, because DS9 had become infested with tribbles. Sisco went undercover as Ensign Sisco of the Federation Starship Enterprise NCC-1701. Worf mostly just hung around the bar, where the tribble salesman was.

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

aaah... Trials and Tribblations (the DS9 episode)... i still can't figure out how they got Sisko to interact with Kirk in that episode... Kirk looked exactly like he did in TOS, so i couldn't have been the "current" Shatner...

if you're talking about the DS9 episode where they travel back to K-7, i think you need to see it again. that's not at all what happens :p

the same was as they made forrest gump (also produced by paramount). they rebuilt various TOS sets, filmed on blue screen, played with the light and cut/pasted it with the old TOS episode.

it seemed REALLY damn good... i actually couldn't tell if they used stock footage, or used a professional Shatner impersonator :)

This is great...
It's what aliens should have done in the third installment

I'm now looking forward to seeing the last episode of the Enterprise
perhaps the most important Star Trek episode ever...

We'll all heal after this....including Trek

actually, after the Mirror episodes, there's another Demon one or something, and then Terra Prime, followed by the finale

they only did one good episode so far IMO, Azati Prime... where the Enterprise gets her ass beaten down by the Xindi, and Archer goes on a suicide mission but gets captured

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

the Viewer's Choice? you gotta go vote on startrek.com, and then it starts 3 weeks before the finale...

what do you guys have for ideas for the finale? i think that this one would be awesome:

Opening Scene- we see Enterprise totally battered, then the Engineer (no longer Tucker) says that they're 30 seconds from core breach or something... then Archer says "Launch the buoy" (the memory bouy, like we saw in Voyager: Course Oblivion)...

Title Scene

then we see the Titan gliding through space, and Riker goes "on the maiden voyage of the Titan, we're going to explore a region that hasn't been visited for over 200 years"... then his science officer tells him that he's located the bouy, and then they load it into the Holodeck, and watch it from there... and the last moments of Enterprise are shown

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

I dont think Enterprise has been that good and I blame 100% on bad writing. I have no problems with the ships, technology, or the characters. But some of the stories are just stupid.

And as mentioned they broke the one golden rule of Trek. Dont mess with pre established facts.

All that said I used to watch teh show religiously when it first came out but its been moved so much I dont even know when its on anymore. I was told recently its on Friday night but that conflicts with my Stargate and Battlestar Galactica viewing. They should move it back to Wednesday or put it on Sunday night.

Fridays at 8PM on UPN for Enterprise...

Re: Enterprise may have a chance

this made me angry yesterday, when i was watching the #3 pic...

"The votes were counted, and they were overwhemling"... if they were that overwhelming, re-new the damn show!

next, on a Veronica Mars promotional commercial

*shows a graph of votes* "Veronica Mars is the most wanted show for another season!"... and can you guess which show was #2 on that list? i swear, Paramount and UPN are out to get us all
