Picard had trouble keeping that upstart Riker in line.
In both Mirror Mirror continuities, Kirk had everything well in hand.
Janeway had a Q in her back pocket.
Kirk had to whine, beg, cajole and seduce every omnipotent being he came across.
Sisco, and I'll never forgive him for this, actually berated Worf for being quick on the draw in an obvious frame up.
Kirk, on the other hand, almost let Spock kill him in a fit of sexually induced rage. How many friends would do that for you?

As a sidenote, the first time I saw Stewart in action was in one of my favourite movies, Excalibur. He played Leondegrance. IMHO, Picard was a step down for him, artistically speaking.

it did... remember how in Scorpion, a single hit by 8472 could wipe out a cube?

Voyager hit the first time= Tuvok: "Shields and weapons are offline, but for some weird reason, i can fire those uber torpedoes that we were able to come up with in a few minutes, while the enitre collective couldnt think of it themselves... even though it used their technology"

Voyager hit the second time= Berman: "Well have the ship tilt a little, have the camera bounce around, but i dont think we'll need to give the ship any damage."

Thats pretty much the same thing I thought regarding Voyager. That ship should have been destroyed in so many episodes but always managed to either go undamaged or come back.

As far as captains I still like Sisko.

i love how B'Elanna was such an awesome engineer that she could even repair all of the scorch marks that should have been there on the hull! Voyager came back nicer looking than when she left (not because of the armor)!

Sisko was a good captain, but the one thing that pissed me off about him was that Avery Brooks overacted sometimes... Kate Mulgrew knew exactly what she was doing...

besides... the whole being a god and saving the Alpha quadrant thing that really work for me

Umm...if I'm not mistaken Sisko was not a god. The prophets were. Sisko was the emissary of the prophets which means he was their messenger.

the Bajorans (most of them) treated him like a god...

I watch it, but thats becuase right now I'm jobless. I'm sure that once I'm able to get a job again or go to school that will all change. As far as his mother being a Prophet I thought she was just inhabited by one. I didn't know she actually was one.
