Hey, I'm sure all of this has been covered...probably years ago. I LOVE this game and have since it came out but I have 3 meager questions...

1. How do I stop AI friendly ships from randomly blowing themselves up mid-mission?

2. Is there a GOOD patch for dominion/cardassian ships and a "Explanation for idiots" on how to properly install it?

3. Is there any way to still play this game on-line. My game is version 1.0 and cannot locate a server anymore?

I leave my future of this game in your gracious hands.....

1. Not sure how it happens. Have you patched to 534B?
2. Please download SFC3 Rexpansion 2009 and install it
3. You need the Starfleet Command access server patch

The game begins system breakdowns for the AI and your ship after X-many turns. Frequent trips to your starbase/planets will allow the AI to refit and recrew as the AI sees fit, this should alleviate spontaneous suicide of your AI. Note: Romulan AI’s sometimes will do it as a tactic to damage or destroy you or other AI’s.

No, you can only have two other AI’s with you at a time. That’s just the way the game is programmed. You can, however; have AI’s that will increase one or two additional ships against you as the game progresses depending on the mod you are using. Some mod’s like mine and I believe Yochenhsieh have been tweaked to allow rare occasion where you can join in battle with an AI against an AI, but to do all this you need to download the patch as required and choose a mod that allows for it. Graphics/lag is dependent upon your computer's ability to handle it. I’m not a computer guru, but if my machine can play DOOM at warp speed, it can handle SFCIII pretty well.
