Force SFCIII to run in widescreen?

Is there a way of forcing SFCIII to run in 1680x1050? I looked around but could not find any information on doing so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SFC series don't suppport wide screen resolutions. You should try to set your video card so it will not resize 4:3 resolution to fit full screen.

Thanks, its already set to do that. I was just hoping there would be a way to get it to run in my laptops native resolution.
