I have installed Chris Jones mod from 2003 and then new 534 patch. I now get this error.

any one know what i can do to fix it?

Well, your problem is simple. Check the mod to see if it says anywhere that the required patch is included, if I'm not mistaken it is. In either case, you don't install the patch after the mod, it negates even putting the mod in. Check the readme to see if the patch is with the mod, if it is reinstall the mod by itself. If not, install the patch first of all, then the mod.

*edit*Also make sure it's the 534b patch, the original 534 had bugs in it.

I went ahead and read Chris' readme file. The patch that is included with his mod is the 1.01 Beta 2 Patch Build 531. So, I went ahead and installed the 534b patch and then the mod. I still get the same error. Should I just not install 534b? I would really like the new hard points. Thanks.

If the patch is included with the mod try not installing the patch and only the mod.

Yes you did, and not to be a jerk, but the patch included is an older one (531). And I would like to have 534b installed. I went ahead and installed 534 and then Chris' Mod. I am getting the error. I followed your instructions, I hope you can help me out.

The mod was not made to work with the newer patch. You can't get it to work with the 534b patch without altering the mod.

in many ways the 531 patch is better. You really can't tell a major difference between the two, but in some of my experience in running a server 531 can sometimes be more stable.
