UPDATE~~ U can get the stats for the Scimitar in the scenero by copy/paste to the romulan section and removeing the 2 letter command line that only allows it in the scenero i belive its AI?... this is all done in the DEFULTLOADOUT.txt file
To use the Scimitar, the first step is to go into the defaultloadout with Excel, and remove the AI indicator from the Scimitar listing. This will allow the game to load the scimitar as a regular ship in the skirmishs, but as far as I know there's no way at present to run the ship in the campaigns. However, editing the ship will be difficult because the designers didn't bother to map out the hardpoints. The only way I found to do it was with a hardpoint editor like the one made by D'Deridex. I don't recall where I found it. I think it was on a fileplanet sight though.
If there's a way to extract the hardpoint set from the mission, I'm not sure what it is. The game finds the default weapons set automatically somehow, even though there's no set in the defaultcore file I can find. If someone has some thoughts on that, let me know.
AI is a computer only player.
NS is I THINK Non/skirmish or Not/Sold
either indicator would make that ship unavailable in SP or MP missions
BTW. I THINK there is a way if you do it right to have the hardpoints set right, I'm not sire quite how I did it, but the last time I installed the scimitar mod, it loaded up with all hardpoints in the right places, everything set right. Shrug
well, yea, it's a monster.....but the game naturally only has one battleship....the sovergn and warbird are both listed as DN. I thought it was funny the big klingon ships were only listed as DN's.
I was also pretty pissed they didn't have any cardi's or dominion ships available in the natural game. I havn't seen any good mods for that either
so am I, I wanted to use a cardassian ship, and when I downloaded the dominion wars mod I thought that there would be at least a couple of Cardassian or Dominion ships, but I have not seen any yet.
