Newbie Type Question

I am not sure if this is where this question belongs but I don't know where else to post it.

I downloaded Diamond Star and cannot find the specs for DefaultCore or DefaultLoadout. There are these .mod files but I cannot find a program to open them. What do I do? :(

Open them as a 'txt' (text) file. You can also modify core/loadout ship specs in Excel or do it directly in the txt format. If this is your first time moding a ship, you'll want to take a look at the tutorial for customizing SFC III: http://starfleetcommand3.filefront.c...mand_III;40632 The tutorial will guide you through the how to on creating a specific core/loadout file for your ship.
