Default Replacing the Borg

I have been trying to replace the borg with the dominion in my version of SFC3 but i am having some trouble.

I can get everything to work fine in the Skirmish mode but when i start any campaign now the game crashes.

i have changed the name on everything i can find from Borg to Dominion but i must be missing something in the Meta Assets folder.

Any sudgestions?

Standard response- have you checked the invalid ships? And I don't know if this matters, but it won't put in a Dominion logo in place of the Borg logo...not sure if that has any impact. Beyond that, I'm guessing you used the race swapping tutorial?

It's in the guide to customizing SFC3, which is a link in this forum. There's a section in there on race swapping. I did it once, made the Cardassians playable but their emblem didn't show up, I think it gave me a Federation logo...

I already took a look at your "Dominion Race mod" and it's nice, thanks.

Its a similar idea of what i want to do, but i want it to be neat and presentable for my next version of the "True Trek Mod".

I noticed that you added the Dominion ships to the game and replaced the borg ships but the name of the race is still "Borg" and in the campaign, the map hexes still say "Borg Collective".

I know how to change these things but when i do, the cmapaigns are no longer playable. I probably have to make a new campaign map and modify the Artifex program to name "Borg Space" "Dominion Space".

For the crew voices i am taking bits of speach from various other star trek games to replace the Borg voices with Dominion/Cardassian/Breen voices.

As far as changing the logo, i don't think that is possible. It's a shame but only a minor problem.

You'll need a new map with specific Dominion space, planets, etc. You'll also need Dominion planets in the DLO/DC and (IIRC) AI files. Then you can swap races and they'll show up properly- but they'll still show up with Borg emblems...I think that's in the sprites files, no idea how to mod those.

Sorry, Default Load Out and Default Core. The AI file is in the folder with the character file, game time settings, political tensions, etc.
