Question about LockBonus.

Hi. For the past few days I've fiddled with the LockBonus setting in Common Setttings --> BridgeItems --> ComputerItems --> LockBonus. The wonderful "Guide to Customizing Starfleet Command III" says that LockBonus affects the accuracy of weapons (I assume re targetting subsytems?), but I can't tell that LockBonus actually does anything. I've set the LockBonus value anywhere from 0-100 but as far I can tell the weapon accuracy is never affected.

Has anyone else experimented with LockBonus and had any success? Am I incorrect in my assumption that LockBonus can improve subsytem targeting?

Any help would be appreciated.
