New Ships

This thread is for opions of the latest ships that have been put on the download link. To everybody I would like your opions on these lastest five ships from WickedZombie45.:Pimp: Me personally I like them. It's time that someone went old school to bring back ships from SFC1 andSFC2 these latest files rock!!!!:smokin:

Re: New Ships

I personally love the ships from Demon Renegade Studios. Most of the ships I have ever downloaded AND installed were from DRS, and I love them. They're all of high quality, and also they all come with their own specs that actually work. Personally, that's a plus for me. Most importantly though, DRS has the best version of the MkII Constitution class, and also their MkIII Constitution (a.k.a. Valiant sub-type) is beautiful. Alot of the ships that have been added to SFC3files as of late are great from the pictures and from what I've seen when loaded into the taldren mod viewer, but I haven't used them cause they don't come with specs, and my philosophy on ships for SFC3 is if they don't come with specs, I'll just have to live without. I've had extremely nasty experiences when trying to install ships into SFC3 when they didn't have specs. It's not that I don't know how to, just that whenever I do, it never works right.

Capt. Dawg July 5th, 2004 10:19 PM

Re: New Ships

Aint it the truth! over half the ships I downloaded here about a third of them actually have specs. Thank god for Wicked Zombie45. By the way Daihak Ididn't know about A
MkII and III Constitution class. Any way you can give me a web address for these Constitution ships? These are my favorite Class ship.

Daihak July 6th, 2004 09:38 AM

Re: New Ships

The MkII Constitution is more affectionately known as the Constitution-Refit, or in some cases the Enterprise class, and the MkIII Constitution is known as the Valiant-Refit of the Constitution class. The Valiant is Wicked Zombie's take on a 24th century refit of the class. The MkII Constitution can be found almost anywhere these days. Several different ones are on sfc3files right now. The Valiant can be found on the Demon Renegade Studios site. The link is: http://www.nightsoft.net/omega/drs/

There are tons of ships by Wicked Zombie made for the feds, and klinks and roms, and even some Borg and Andro, and a few others. The latest ship he released was the Mars-Refit. Looks pretty good, but haven't had much of a chance to install it.

Capt. Dawg July 7th, 2004 04:37 PM

Re: New Ships

Thanks Daihak! That really made my day. Let me know how these ships are doing after you install them. I'm always on the lookout for new Fed ships (with specs of course.)

Daihak July 7th, 2004 04:49 PM

Re: New Ships

I've never had a problem when it comes to installing Wicked Zombie's ships in game. They always work without a problem with the exception of the Titan, but he once told me that there was a problem with the Titan regarding any specs made for it. Other then that, there are no problems with any of his ships.

Capt. Dawg July 7th, 2004 06:24 PM

Re: New Ships

Tell me about it. I thought I was going to get the infamous Captain Rikers First command. An d aI went to install defaint there were no specs in there that I could norice. But other than that. I love that website

Daihak July 7th, 2004 08:21 PM

Re: New Ships

I should have warned you though, that there are a couple of the ships there that aren't meant for SFC3. If you look carefully, it'll tell you if it's for SFC3 or not. If it's for SFC3, it's good also for SFC1/2. If it just says it's good for SFC1/2/OP, then you'll either have to ask Wicked Zombie if he can convert it for you or ask someone to convert it for you. Most of the Fed ships are for SFC3 and they have specs, except for the Titan. I apologize that I didn't inform you of this earlier.

Capt. Dawg July 7th, 2004 08:32 PM

Re: New Ships

It's all right. Besides the ships I was able to download were excellent to use.(once I armed them right) Did you download Taldrens version of the enterprise-a? If you did take a good look at and give us a comparision between taldren's enterprise and wickedzombie45 enterprise I'm interested in your opion btwn these ver.

Daihak July 8th, 2004 12:51 PM

Re: New Ships

The Taldren Enterprise is converted from SFC2, and personally, I think it's a horrible looking model. No disrespect to Taldren, they're great and all, but the models used in SFC2 were horrible looking. Looked like a bad, distorted image of the actual thing. That's my opinion.

Capt. Dawg July 8th, 2004 01:46 PM

Re: New Ships

Ain't it the truth. The nacelles look like very wide rectangles. The only good thing on that model was the saucer section.

Any Person is welcomed to put their input in this sectin on ANY new ships that you want to tell the people and your opion on the ship that you are talking about.

Re: New Ships

To anyone looking to replace their noway stock model go to http://www.staryards.com and go to Fed TNG section. This new version has a lot more detail and has more firepower.

Daihak July 11th, 2004 06:17 PM

Re: New Ships

Wicked Zombie has just released a new Federation ship. The new ship is called the Midway-Class. This ship's design is closely related to the F-SCS in SFC2/OP, or otherwise known as the Ark Royal. Just from looking at the pictures of the ship, it's a sweet download. I recommend it highly for download. As always, it comes with it's own specs.

Capt. Dawg July 12th, 2004 03:27 PM

Re: New Ships

The Midway class is an impressive ship plenty of firepower for those who love that kind of thing. And the Voyageref2 good specs but, I wouldn't recommend it unless you
like to spend time renaming files. And when I did finally used it, it was all white. Check out the ships I mentioned and give us your opinion.

I'm resending my last thread about the ef2voyager. It does have good graphics like out of the series and is easy to install. I do recommend ef2voyager for anyone who likes that class

WickedZombie45 has just updated the Normandy on his drs website looks good.

Daihak July 19th, 2004 03:37 AM

Re: New Ships

A new version of the K'Tinga class is now flying at Demon Renegade Studios. It's a retexture of the K'Tinga so it looks like a Klingon pirate cruiser from the House of Korgath from SFC:OP. As with all of Wicked Zombie's latest ships, this ship is for all SFC games, and it comes with it's own specs for SFC3. I'm not much of a Klingon ship fan, but I had to download it just to load it into the mod viewer. For all you SFC3 players out there, all of Wicked Zombie's ships are of high quality and come with specs. Only thing they don't come with are damage textures, so if you're taking heavy damage, it won't show. I see this as a small, insignificant issue that doesn't hinder the quality of my gameplay when using his ships.

Capt. Dawg July 19th, 2004 07:15 PM

Re: New Ships

Some people may not be aware of this but Wicked Zombie has two custom variations of the constitution/valiant refit in his custom shipyards section i've downloaded one called the unforgiven it is totally wicked custom paint job and has new nacelles, check it out.

Daihak July 21st, 2004 04:43 PM

Re: New Ships

I was aware of it. Then again I'm always checking back to his site for new ships, so when it comes to Fed ships, I almost know what he has. Oh, and all those that check out this thread, please check out my newest PotD posted on SFC3Files.com. It's not the current one that's up right now. It's the one of the Mars class that was finally posted I believe yesterday. It has no title, but tell me what you think.

Re: New Ships

To every BIG ships fans out there, I have come across the Diamond Star class fed ship very big very powerful here's the link you may have to rename some files in the model file to Diamond_Star to get it to work http://www.battleclinic.com/docks/dock.php?r=federation as always it has it's own specs made by Wicked Zombies Kudos

Daihak July 25th, 2004 05:26 AM

Re: New Ships

To those people that check out this thread, if anyone has attempted to access DRS, well, they're back up, and with a new ship. The Audacity class strike carrier is now flying in the Federation section. The ship just looks like a MkII Constitution but with different style nacelles and instead of having the traditional main deflector, it's got 3 small deflectors and another shuttle bay, located at the front where the main deflector dish usually goes.

Capt. Dawg July 26th, 2004 04:50 PM

Re: New Ships

This is the Captain speaking Wicked Zombie is setting up a new catigory in his shipyards called Terrian Empire this is for the mirror universe ships EX: I.S.S. Enterprise as an example. he doesn't have any ships for it yet but I give it a week or less before he has something I'll keep my eyes peeled for any new ships in the link

Daihak July 29th, 2004 09:43 PM

Re: New Ships

Everyone, please give your reviews on the latest release at DRS. The new Klingon C7. She looks mighty pretty, and this coming from someone not too fond of Klingon ships.

Mattbob July 30th, 2004 11:51 PM

Re: New Ships

I haven't seen any mention of the Borg ships of DRS...so here's one I think everyone should download, and that would be the Realm Conquerer. This thing is rediculously huge. In the info for it, it says it is a very old Borg vessel that was used for assimilating species outside of this galaxy. Since it is old, it only has medium cutting beams, but has the weapons space to allow for any weapons setup. It is fun to have 5 Fed ships closing in on this thing, because it dwarfs them in size...But yeah.....I don't know, just thought that I would throw in my 2 cents....

Capt. Dawg July 31st, 2004 02:06 PM

Re: New Ships

thank you for your input Mattbob yes the realm conquerer is a huge ship good specs too. There is another borg ship at DRS the mauler it is a good ship as well but more maneuverable and is stronger than a borg cube, check it out

Mattbob July 31st, 2004 04:03 PM

Re: New Ships

One thing that I was wondering...Though it is not a big deal, I was wondering, why don't any ships have textures for the inside of the vessel, like when they are destroyed. I mean, all the stocks do, but no other ships that I have downloaded have textures for the inside of the vessel. With the exception of the Hendrix. I don't know, I was just wondering....and yeah...I have the Mauler as well. Awesome ship, nice damage textures.

Greenvalv July 31st, 2004 05:10 PM

Re: New Ships

I was wondering about that too. That made me vow that when I finally start modelling that I would make better brk.mod's.:D

Re: New Ships

This is the Captain once again bringing you two ships from http://www.nightsoft.net
They are called the Furious and the Concord Class Federation Ships, I tried them both and they passed the test both have specs but the concord is a little trickey to do if you already have a Fed-light cruiser3 Both are very good and very quick the arcs will need to be modified as in adjusted anyway, both are good ships worth downloading
Captain out

Daihak August 10th, 2004 02:51 PM

Re: New Ships

Ahoy all flyers out there in SFC3 land. The U.S.S. Republic is now flying over at DRS. In reality, she's just a reworking and release of the old Valiant model to make it more current. This model and the current model of the Valiant look so much different that they could both pass off for two different classes of ship. In fiction, the Republic is a post- Dominion War refit of the Valiant sub-type Constitution Class. Go download her now. I highly recommend her.

Well, first you have to unzip meaning extract the ship file to C/program files/activision/assets/models
then, go into the ship file and find the specs an example would be suggested specs, they're always text documents. go into the specs and also go into the specs file on the game and use cut and paste to move it into one the game spec file. they're two specs, defaultcore
and default loadout cut and paste the specs into the approiate file

Re: New Ships

There are also some sweet looking shuttles at DRS. However, I have no idea on how to get them ingame.

Also, at Battleclinic (http://www.battleclinic.com/docks/dock.php?r=federation), there are some sweet looking ships. I'm getting the Achilles, Dark Knight, and Diamond Star. Unfortunatly, it seems that the Diamond Star is the only with DefaultCore & DefaultLoadOut data, which is a shame.

Solo03 August 28th, 2004 11:51 AM

Re: New Ships

EDIT: Well, it seems that I'm having problems installing the Diamond Star. It's not showing up ingame, all there is is an empty spot with the DS's hardpoints.

Capt. Dawg August 29th, 2004 02:07 PM

Re: New Ships

Today i'm bringing you two ships the Rhode Island and the Intrepid prototype first the rhode island very good textures looks almost like the actual ship as seen in Voyagers last episode "EndGame" very fast and very maneuverable and good hardpoints.
The Prototype intrepid isn't that good but it has basiclly the same hardpoints as the Voyager looks more like i dont' know a clay looking model but good to have around as target practice to use for as a small ship targetr practice but all round good

Yes, both can be found at SFC3Files.com

Re: New Ships

Solo, the Diamond Star on battleclinic.com needs to be adjusted in order to work in game. It's not a minor adjustment. You will probably have to rename some of the files in the Diamond Star folder to match the specs. That's what I did before I tested her out in game and it worked beautifully. I'd send you my specs, but I deleted them, along with that install of the game, in order to install another fresh copy to run the NDF mod.

Re: New Ships

DRS is still down, but don't worry, this has happened before. I am confident that the site will be back up no later than Friday night. I check out the Dynaverse forums often since that is where Wicked Zombie announces any and all new releases that he's done or has had a part in, and I would think that if something did happen to DRS, that he would have let people know about it.
