ok then make sure everything is spelled correctly, that is one of the big mistakes alot of ppl make even myself from time to time.

these must and i cant stress it enough they must match exactly. make sure all the files for the prometheus are spelled the same, the BS,VL,TI,.mod,_brk.mod,the.mod.x,the _brk.mod.x, the .gf, and the folder itself must read the same

as manitoba1073 sed spelling is key. an rember to install it reight. not saying that u are not able to read the instlation guide that is on sfc3files.com or the one posted in GF by datkdrone1 AKA darkdrone, this is his guide

HOW TO EDIT/ADD ships STARFLEET COMMAND 3 BY DarkDrone

PLEASE BACKUP ALL FILES BEFORE YOU START IF YOU DONT YOU HAVE TO REINSTALL THE GAME
IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE

FILES
C:/PROGRAMME FILES/Activision/SFC3/Assets/Specs
DefaultCore.txt
DefaultLoadOut.txt

Pick the ship you want to add for this faq we adding the U.s.s Constellation

open up DefaultCore.txt with WordPad

now pick a ship that specs are near to the ship you are adding i`m using the Fed-LightCruiser Intrepid
from the DefaultCore.txt
15 CL 2000 0 2000 4500 1300 3100 12000 Fed-LightCruiser Intrepid PrimaryHP:1:300_360:2:0_60:3:0_360:4:60_120:5:240_ 300:6:150_210 HeavyHP:12:330 _30:13:330_30:14:165_195:15:165_195 HullHP:1:2:3 BridgeHP:1:2 ship Mines:3:12:3 Marines:6:12:6 Shutt les:1:3:1
How we want it too look
15 CL 2000 0 2000 4500 1300 3100 12000 Constellation Constellation PrimaryHP:1:300_360:2:0_60:3:0_360:4:60_120:5:240_ 300:6:150_210 HeavyHP:12:330_30:13:330_30:14:165_1 95:15:165_195 HullHP:1:2:3 BridgeHP:1:2 ship Mines:3:12:3 Marines:6:12:6 Shuttles:1:3:1

as you can see by replaceing Fed-LightCruiser Intrepid with Constellation Constellation we added the ship to the game as a new class it will have same shilds and weapons as the Intrepid
now we have to go to the DefaultLoadOut.txt to make the same changes i show you how to do that next.

open up DefaultLoadOut.txt with WordPad

now find the Fed-LightCruiser Intrepid line in the file DefaultLoadOut.txt

Federation Fed-LightCruiser Intrepid Intrepid F-TRACTOR-III:3 F-TRANSPORTER-II:1 F-ARMOR-II:2 F-COMPUTER-II:1 F-WARP-V:1 F-IMPULSE-II:2 F-THRUSTER-II:3 PHASER XS:1 PHASER XS:2 PHOTON TORPEDO:12 PHOTON TORPEDO:13 PHOTON TORPEDO:14 OFFICER:ENGINEER: OFFICER:SECURITY: OFFICER:HELM: OFFICER:OPS: OFFICER:TACTICAL: OFFICER: MEDICAL: F-SHIELD-IV:1 F-SHIELD-IV:2 F-SHIELD-IV:4 F-SHIELD-IV:3

How we want it too look
Federation Constellation Constellation Constellation F-TRACTOR-III:3 F-TRANSPORTER-II:1 F-ARMOR-II:2 F-COMPUTER-II:1 F-WARP-V:1 F-IMPULSE-II:2 F-THRUSTER-II:3 PHASER XS:1 PHASER XS:2 PHOTON TORPEDO:12 PHOTON TORPEDO:13 PHOTON TORPEDO:14 OFFICER:ENGINEER: OFFICER:SECURITY: OFFICER:HELM: OFFICER:OPS: OFFICER:TACTICAL: OFFICER: MEDICAL: F-SHIELD-IV:1 F-SHIELD-IV:2 F-SHIELD-IV:4 F-SHIELD-IV:3

TIP: if you want too add a subclass/refit just dont remove the Fed-LightCruiser from both files This will add the new ship as a subclass/refit to that ship

Re: grrrr

There are some problems with the Prometheus, but they are easily fixed. Firstly, in the core specs, replace Sovereign with Prometheus. Second, change the name of the folder sfcpro2003 to Prometheus. Thirdly, if you are running build 531, add a ship size: insert a tab followed by a number (I've seen 907 used somewhere) between the numbers and the hardpoints in your core specs.
