Halo Mod I posted this idea about a month ago and it didn't get much responce. I'm trying to spark new intrest by posting this aswell as the attached document which contains the stuff that needs to be changed. I can't mod or code or anything really that's why I need help. However for any facts or information about Halo you can ask me. |
Re: Halo Mod An interesting idea, sort of steam-punk-meets-Star-Trek. Definitely NOT keen on one shot kill weapons such as the proposed orbital guns and nuclear mines. Perhaps a more playable approach would be to lower the damage of the weapons but up the firing rate effectively turning the heavy cannon into a sort of space based mini-gun. I never really got into B5 but that's how I understand a lot of their weapons were depicted. |
Re: Halo Mod Ok I can get that most people don't like one hit kill weapons and that can be changed however ythat is partly what makes Halo Halo. Taken right out the book., a battle with 300 covenant ships vs 100 human ships and 20 orbital MACs only took two ours from the covenant ships arriving in system to the point where the covenant won and bombarded the local planet with plasma. All in all Halo ship battle rarely take very long. to quote the first halo book Quote:
