Join Date: August 28th, 2002 Rep Power: 0 | OK, heres the problem. When you use windows XP it install microsoft made generic drivers for your video card. Since microsoft uses is monopoly unfairly, it only installs directx libraries with those drivers because microsoft wants to kill opengl since its a competing technology to directx. SO all you have to do is go to your manufacters websitr and download drivers made by the company that made the graphics card. When you install there dirver yu will not only ge both a driectx and opengl drivers but you wil also get a performance boost since its drivers made specifically for your card. |
