STV:EF (one) Holomatch problem
 

Hi all,
I haven't played in almost 2 years, but my son wants to play now. I reinstalled everyting, the single player works just fine. I can't get Holomatch to load. I keep getting:

Any ideas?

Why would it work in Single Player, and not in Holomatch??

Which version of the game are you using? Any mods installed?

Try updating your video card drivers

I installed ver 1.2 from the orig CD, and the expansion pack CD, nothing else.
Again, what really baffles me is that single player works no problem, only holomatch doesn't. I did NOT enter the CD key yet, but as I remember you only need that for Holomatch.

you surely meant only for Single Player.......
what graphic card are you using? or did ya have EF installed and working before? try out deleting the configs, that might be the problem. also try using it with a clean install (aka no mods and custom maps installed on ef) and try turning off the firewall (might be the problem, but i dont know.... just give it a try)

I had it running on the computer before the Great Windows Crash of May '06. Clean Windows reinstall, clean EF reinstall from the CDs. No firewall installed since that computer is not on the web, my son wants to play, doesn't care if they're bots.

Again, WHY would it work in SINGLE PLAYER mode if there is a driver/config problem???

Well, I got it to work... stupid video drivers. I "updated" the driver, but the date stamp went from 2004 to 2003 version, but it works, go figure.
