Skin aliases?

Does anyone know if its possible to sort of create an alias to a skin?

For instance you load dm_skinname.tik via the player setup in multiplayer, but instead of loading dm_skinname.tik its just an alias so in reality you load haz_skinname.tik.

Is this possible?

No it's not possible, the skin needs to have a name like: dm_*.tik
If you wana create your own skin you need to create a new tik file and set all parameters so it can be used in multiplayer.

I have no clue how to do that but I'm not afraid to find that out.

Actually what i'm trying to figure out is how EBgames enabled their bonus skins. I know the files exist for both the skins and the headshots, and that they can be easily added to the character selection by creating a new .pk3 renaming them to dm_ instead of eb_.
The question is did the EB game version do the same thing(renamed to dm_) or did they have some other method of activating them.

both skins are exclusive to the EBgames pre-order version of EF2, those who have that version can select them normally among all the skins. Those who dont have to manually select the skins via the console.
