Pleeeeeez help if you would. I have installed EfRadiantGDK2 and followed the tutorial to the letter. I can map, add textures, etc. But when I try to compile I get the error set -qdir X no STARTR~1 in path!!! I have it installed into C:\Games along with Elite Force. If anyone has had this problem or knows the cure I would appreciate it.

thanks....
I finally found out what was wrong...upon installation I put the game and Elite Force in the same directory of course!!!! that's the elementary part! But through continued install and uninstalls and lots of reading finally I realized that the STARTR~1 I had so urgently been looking for was actually the name of the directory within C:\Games where all of this is in stalled...the name of the magic directory is.......drumroll pleeeez//\/\/\/\//\/.
C:\GAMES\STARTREKSTVEF\BASEEF\"whatever". The StarTrek is the important part or in my case startrekstvef. What happens is the long file name gets cut down by the program to STARTR~1 the ~1 is the part that indicates the long filename. I don't know if you can make out that wavy line before the one but it is "tilde" located to the left of the ! and above the tab kef this worked for me I hope it helps you...
One more thing you might have to re-install the whole mess just make sure you re-install all of it (game and efradiant) to this directory Cor whatever your drive is)\Games\startrekstvef\. Also after I uninstalled the programs I wen into the windows directory and deleted 2 files something like qe3bsp and qe3bsp2 in the Temp directory easy to use find file and just type qe and searcj windows\Temp. Also I went into regedit through the "run" command and after entering the registry; HKEY_CURRENT_USER+software+QERADIANT delete this and go to edit in the menu and search for "efradiant" and remove all of those entries only keep going to "find next" until you have completed the full search of the registry (dangerous if you are not familiar with what I am talking about). But if not the program will come up with the same old settings time after time
