I believe you have to check the box "always on" and have a wait 1 value in the trigger.

Thanks a lot. By the way, I've come up with a few ideas that will make this map unique-- don't just expect a ship. There'll be a lot more.

Are you putting the sound's path in correctly?
Press "n" to open the Target--Speaker, and put sound on the top line, and sound/[directory of sound file]/[name of file.wav or .mp3] on the bottom line, and press enter.
Hope that helps!

Work continues steadily, even though it's exam week-- :deal:
I'm actually quite far along on the ship, about 40%, but too lazy to update the pic...
I have two more exams, tomorrow and tuesday, but after that I should be able to get a lot more work done.
Until then, here's some more screenies, including a couple shots of the finished crew quarters, complete with shower, beds, and all sorts of opening panels, two pics of an access door and circuits in sickbay, a picture of the beginning of the cargo bay, and two pics of the shuttle/escape pod at the front of the ship. Enjoy!
P.S. The beta shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks. Of course, the beta is just the ship; i plan on adding an away mission a la Delta v2, plus some more rather interesting features.

That's right, EVERYONE loves new screenies! Map is now 45% done; at this rate the beta is only weeks away! Here we have the bar, which I mapped at 11:00 last night, the new door on the escape pod/shuttlecraft, and the updated craft itself. Plus, I finally updated my banner!

That doesn't look all too bad :) Nice work, although I'll save my final judgement when I get to play it ;)

how do i get a forcefield that only shows itself when touched?

To make it shown when its touched? Hmm...

You'll have to have your normal FF, then a trigger_multiple right next to it on both sides. Then have the trigger multiple target a delay entity, so it fires only a few seconds...ugh, its complicated and hard to explain, but if I do it GTK I could do it for you if you need it.

For an FF that is, the FF needs to be a func_usable, and key 'team' and value '2' so that it cannot be used. have 'start_off' checked, and if it triggered by another func_usable, and then you've got yourself an FF. I believe there is a downloadable tutorial for FF's on effiles, but whoever made it forgot to make it nonusable.

Hmm... here's some more screenies, but they're kinda old. I've begun the upper deck, and I'm almost done with the captain's ready room, with nice big windows. w00t!

edit: oops, looks like i already posted them. Oh well. More to come!
