Textures from other games?

I saw this post http://www.tramdesign.net/NonCGI/ult...c;f=2;t=002548

from a forum for a different game saying that it was legal to use textures from other games in a map or mod for a different game as long as you dont charge for it but I gotta say I'm really sceptical weather this is legal anyone know anything about this?

Nope - unless the creators of the original material has given the green light for modders to do so, then it's completely illegal... :rolleyes:

As the game itself is copyrighted, so is all the material in the game! (same build/author etc)
