BC Problem
 

For some odd reason, I'm not able to run BC. I've tried everything I could think of, bar upgrade my graphics card drivers (I have armada II also, and it runs fine). The way it goes is when I try to load up the game, it goes into a black screen, then dumps me back on the desktop. I've upgraded my BC to version 1.1, buit to no avail.

My system specs are: AMD Athlon Thunderbird (I think) 1.2Ghz, 384MB ram, 64mb 3d Prophet II MX (Geforce II chipset) and a Genius Soundmaker SM 32.

If there's anything else you need to help diagnose the problem, please let me know.

I think it is a problem with DirectX. I had that exact same problem for a while, and I am pretty sure it was directx.
Go into 'dxdiag' (you can type it into the run menu), and make sure all of the performance sliders are on highest. Again, I am pretty sure that that is the problem. (i think it has to do with the sound).

I'm just after running dxdiag, and I was informed that my card cannot play through a hardware buffer. There weren't any sliders I could've pressed, bar the one for the sound, and that was at the maximum. I had a feeling about the soundcard drivers, so I thought it would be a good idea to download the latest ones. I've yetato install them though. I'll install them tomorrow and see if they make a difference.
