Does anyone know how to rename ships?

I want to give some of the ships in the game a new name (ie. change 'Shuttle' (or w/e) to 'Delta Flyer' or something like that). Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks!

The only way I've ever done it was with Quick Battle Replacement or QBR.

hi waz up...ok now a name.

Tell me what class the ship is.

and second the Delta Flyer was named that way cause, think now, they were in the Delta Quadrant. Hence Delta. And the word Flyer for something that can Fly threw the Quadrant.

You can change the names on the ship selection menu by using BCMP

BCMP won't do it unless the file name is the same.

Here's how to do it.

1. Create a plugin with BCMP using the default file name.

2. Go into scripts/Custom/Ships and find the .py file for the plugin you just created.

3. Open the file and change the line where it says "longname".

Hope it helps. :smack:
