I install several ships recently and now my QB screen is black and all i hear is music!
I installed:
P81 Miranda
USS Lennox 1.5
LbCharleston class
Elminister's Miranda update 4
and Dy Excalibur.
Could the Bridge Crew General.tgl from the Excalibur have caused this?
I've tried replacing QB files and the bridge crew general from the cd
but it hasn't changed anything.
Sounds like a problem with either the .TGL files or the .py files in the scripts/custom/ships folder. I would suggest you install the mods manually. So when these things happen your a little familiar with the location of the file(s) in question. I believe some of the mods you have mentioned are in BCMI format. I would look to the LB Charleston, DY Excalibur and the USS Lennox to check for a missing .TGL or custom/ships .py file.

I've checked them over with the MP and nothing is missing.
They were all in BCMI format except the charleston so the charleston was installed manually.
I've checked the custom/ships py folder nothing is missing there either.I haven't been able to play BC at all for a while because of this.
Go to your /scripts/custom/ships folder, and remove one ship's .py and .pyc files at a time into a temporary folder somewhere. (Or you can just rename them to shipname.xxx for the time being).
Try running BC after each one you remove, until (hopefully) you find which ship is causing your problem.
That's what I do when I get your problem, and so far, I've never had to reinstall BC like many others have when it happens.

Only other thing I can think of offhand other than reinstalling, and then installing one mod at a time, is to check your \scripts\plugins\custom folder, and see if there's anything odd in there. I recall some ship I installed put files in there that messed BC up for me. It was a very old mod.
That's about all I can think of, sorry if it doesn't help.
