foundation problems!?
 

okay so i just got my 1.1 version of bc working and i wanted to start modding it. so i downloaded bridge commander mod installer final. with that i tried to install nano fx 2 beta. but it said i didnt install the latest foundation system (which makes sense, because i didnt) so when it asked to install foundation now, i clicked yes. but when it started an error popped up saying that there was an error in extracting. so i tried using bc mod packager to install the foundation. and it worked. but......when i tried to install nano fx 2 again, bc mod installer said that the foundation was not installed. arrrrgh! so i tried using mod packager again, but, when i started it it said that the foundation wasnt installed! so can someone help me get the foundation installed! and now i just tried to run bc and the terrible terrible black screen and gold cursor appeared! krkmjikreewpignrekgnrewkgnewp;kgnewngp;4ngwep;gneq nggigolog;kjwljnrwjggp;gm :/

LOL alright first off don't use BCMI or BCMP those programs are old and known to have issues... Get BCUT

Bridge Commander Universal Tool, Bridge Commander Downloads, Bridge Commander Utilities

this has the latest foundation and comes with many readme and tut files for beginners... basically noob proof.

Once you get foundation installed in the correct BC directory you should be able to install multiple mods.

fair does i guess mind you isnt creating modifications for games classed as illegal due to the Copyright and Patent act of 1990?
but i do see your point yes.
do you know anywhere that will sell it fairly cheaply?

their is my final problem still i downloaded a Voyager mod etc it overwrote the Dauntless Galaxy NIF
is their anyway i can get it back whether anyone would be so kind to send me the file in an email i would be so grateful...

We can't help you at all as long as you have an illegal install.

Most players don't have the original Galaxy anymore but a newer replacement. That's the reason you should make backups of your install...

I must be the only one with the stock stock ships (which I rarely use). someone should make a reccomended list of stocker's replacements.

Many newer mods don't overwrite other ships and are not replacements. But you can install one of these and then remove the stock ship. That's what I did with the Akira, Ambassador and Galaxy after installing shippacks of these classes.

i grabbed a couple better resolution ships...and they're whimpier than the STOCK ones! it's funny, but I sure don't remember the stock ambassador going down to a Galor!
