ok after the star up vido the main menu wont apper the screen just stayes black? im using kobishy meru 1.0 with stbc 1.1 patch installed.

please help

Need a console report to see what the problem is. Start it up in testmode

add -TestMode at the very end of the "Target" text input in a shortcut to BC (with space).

Start the game through the modified shortcut and press ` (unshifted ~) and then Enter to see the problem. Then, press Print Screen.
Then type in:

sys.exit()

He means this:

- Locate the shortcut to your BC-Install (either on the desktop or in the start menu).
- Right-Click it and select "Properties" (suggesting that you have a english windows yes).

Lets Try that again without pressing Post Reply too early

- Locate the shortcut to your BC-Install (either on the desktop or in the start menu).

- Right-Click it and select "Properties" (suggesting that you have a english windows yes).

- Find the 'Target' Input field where it says somthing like this "C:\Program Files\Activision\Star Trek Bridge Commander\stbc.exe" (if you have installed in default location) and add the folowing after the stbc.exe" -testmode

- Press "Apply" and "Ok".

- Now left-click the shortcut you just edited twice and let the game start.

- Press the ´ button on your keyboard and type this:

import sys (Press enter)
sys.exit() (Press enter)

- Now look in the root of your BC folder (C:\Program Files\Activision\Star Trek Bridge Commander\). There should be a new file that is the dump of the error report if there is somthing like that there.

Post that there so we can read what is wrong seen from a system perspective.
