In the Universe map, for example, the Venture is again defending DS9, so if you're hoping to use the station at cover and accidently clip the shields when firing at an enemy coming round them (forgetting how large the bubble is), you're going to be battling your enemy whilst the Venture takes potshots at you. The same if you're battling the enemy and a torpedo goes astray... Shouting "I'm drawing their fire away from DS9" at the screen seems to have no effect...
Still, when it works properly, it works very well. Unfortunately, when the AI enemies battle the AI friendlies, they have a habit of shooting the Venture first, and as it isn't equipped with a defend itself script as well as a defend its target AI, it doesn't last very long. What goes around comes around, I suppose... |
