Why won't the Mod's work? I've installed my copy of BC, installed BCMP and BCMI and then proceeded to install Foundation and NanoFXv2. When I tried to load up BC all I get is a black screen with the BC Curser floating around. I can move the cuser but I can't actualy move anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? :confused: |

Re: Why won't the Mod's work? Okay, now I know that there are errors...how do I fix it? For some reason it's not letting me upload the screenshot of the errors...any tips on how to show it so I can get it solved? :( |

Re: Why won't the Mod's work? In case anyone is watching this thread, I did a clean install and did NOT install Nano Fx and things are working now. I'll try later on to install NFX, but for now I'll do without... |
Re: Why won't the Mod's work? Your problem is that you have installed too many things to quickly. Heres what you do: 1. Freshly install Bridge Commander 2. Run once to make sure its working 3. Install the Bridge Commander Patch 4. Run the game to make sure it is working 5. Install BCMP to get the Foundation scripting installed in Bridge Commander 6. Run the game to make sure it works 7. Run BCMP once (stay away from the 'File Checker' in BCMP) to make sure it works 8. Install BCMI and make sure it points to the loaction where you installed Bridge Commander. 9. Run Bridge Commander once to make sure everythings OK. 10. Install NanoFX 2. NanoFX2 doesnt work in singleplayer. 11. Run Quickbattle mode in Bridge Commander to make sure NanoFX2 is working. 12. Have some fun blowing those romulans into space dust. :) 13. Let me know how it turns out. The thing about Bridge Commander is that you have to run it atleast once after installing any mod into it to make sure it all works. |
Re: Why won't the Mod's work? actually, it is simpler than that... henryjeckyll, go to your bc install folder; go to scripts/custom/advancedtechnologies/data folder... you'll see an _init_.py... open that, and put a "#" (without the quotes) in front of "from ATP_Config import *" so it appears as: Code: # from ATP_Config import * |

Re: Why won't the Mod's work? no you can turn off nano to play SP... actually, you can play SP with nano enabled, tho you cannot load saved games (you can however choose missions thru testmode), and there will be a crash or two here or there... |
