BC won't install....

About two years ago, BC just stopped working. I couldn't do anything, and I uninstalled it. Since then, I've tried to reinstall it, to no avail. I've cleaned my registry of anything related to BC, but when I put the disc in, it acts like BC is still installed, even though it isn't. I'm running Windows XP SP2, a 2.66GHz Pentium 4, and 512MB of RAM, if that helps. I've tried everything I know of, please help!

go into regedit and look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > ACTIVISION and delete the Star Trek Bridge Commander folder in there.

There is no BC folder in there, just SFC3.

Make sure that the only thing in your Activision folder is SFC3 (unless there's other games in there too, just not BC).

When you put your CD in, does it give you the autorun? And if it does, is the Install option replaced by Play?

Re: BC won't install....

Believe me, SFC3 is the only thing in the Activision folder. The CD does give me the autorun, and the Install option has been replaced by Play, so it's the autorun you'd see if the game was fully installed.

Also, I tried moving everything on the CD to my hard drive and tried to run it there, but it didn't work.

Well that's... weird. Maybe you have BC installed (or atleast some BC files) somewhere on your hard drive?

The only thing I can think of is BCMP and BCMI.NET, but I'm pretty sure that they don't have anything to do with BC's install problem.

Re: BC won't install....

When you ran them, did they ask you to install the Foundation, or did they give you an error saying that BC wasn't installed?
