Torpedo Selection .............

I am not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but I have given various ships in my modded version additional torpedos compliments to use ... however, I can only select 2 out of 4 types. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to correct this?

I would also like a solution to this problem. I've noticed while playing that the computer ships can use weapons that I cannot although we have the same ship. For example, Excalibur (V1.3) has a super weapon but I have no clue whatsoever what keys to press in order to use it. Can anyone help?

To use more than 2 torpedoes (for quickbattle), you need to edit the quickbattle.py file, somewhere in there it will say this :

for iType in range(iNumTypes):

if (iType >= 2):

You need to change the '2' to '5', this will allow you to use UP TO 4 different torpedo loadouts, I don't know if you can get higher than 4 torpedo loadouts... But this should work, I found it earlier today and I owe someone else credit. Soon as I recall who, I shall post the credit.

THX. I tried your advice and it worked fine. Now I can use the Extra torpedos without loosing another torpedo.
I don't think that you can use more than 4 torpedos. I tried with 4 torpedos and it worked fine. After this I tried to use 5 torpedos and the game shut down.
