well.. i am not a modder or something

do you mean something like exporting the stuff to nif files?? in that case: Milkshape...that is a modelling program where you can add the textures on to the model, and then export it to the nif...but if you did not mean that...i suggest you look at BCU or something...this forum is not quite active like in modders are posting here you see ;)

Unwrapping the model...

If you are wanting to put all the paintable surfaces on one mat I would suggest "Ultimate Unwrap 3d" (50.00 us). Or the free version, called "Lithium Unwrap". The free version is a little harder to use, but still quite satisfactory. This is what I use to unwrap models from many different formats. I use it because the texture coordinator that comes with milkshape is somewhat lacking in this area. This is the web page:

Ultimate Unwrap 3D - UV mapping software

If you have any further questions you can post them on the "tech support" area of my shipbuilding forum located here:

Do you mean an animated texture?

I think he's after a modelling program that will allow you to use seperate files for, eg, saucer textures, stardrive textures etc. I know 3ds max does actually do it so long as you keep the things you want to texture as separate models (ungroup them) then put them together (group them) at the end. So you end up with, for example, a saucer model to which you assign textures, a stardrive model, engine models, each of which get separate maps assigned. Then group together at the end, after you have assigned textures.
