I want to build a bridge.... 1 Attachment(s) I want it to be a fantastic looking bridge. What programs do I need? Bridge I want to build: 2005/2006 version of the TARDIS interior. I want to make it so that I dont have to put any pressure on anyone else. Example picture of the TARDIS bridge is below |
Re: I want to build a bridge.... I think it it possible to use Milkshape, but some others use 3dmax or Lightwave. Whatever you use, you'll need MPE to add the effects like sparks or smoke, and a good graphic program for the textures |
Re: I want to build a bridge.... I have GMAX because I cant afford 3DMax. Will GMAX be good enough? Also, is it possible to animate objects on a bridge? Im asking that because In the show ('Doctor Who' is what this bridge is based on incase there are any sci-fi newbies reading this) the time rotor in the center on the room moves up and down to indicate the TARDIS is in flight or traveling through time. |
Re: I want to build a bridge.... I think it is. In fact, the turbolift doors are animated. If you have BC:KobMaru try to open the Excalibur bridge and take a look to the sphere over the conn. I think it is animated |
Re: I want to build a bridge.... Yep, and the characters are pretty animated, even those (Saffi) you don't want to be... Could just use an animated texture. Maybe set the time column off when red alert goes... Gmax is fine, though you'll have to mess about to do conversions later on, and anything highly detailed may die in a conversion, so keep back ups and be prepared to grit your teeth alot. |
Re: I want to build a bridge.... have you gone thru most of the threads in BCU's Bridge Modding forum? it takes *alot* of reading (as making a bridge takes *alot* of work), but explinations are there, in several threads... or, perhaps post this inquiry there, and those that are qualified to answer (that don't really come here to FF) might elaborate... |
