DYExcalibur Voice Query
 

Hi all,

I have been playing STBC using the DYExcalibur in Quickbattle for some time now and one thing intrigues me. When I select Phase Quantum Torpedoes, a computer voice states 'Aye Captain, loading Phase Quantum Torpedoes'. Although I have applied Phase Quantum torpedoes to another ship, The computer voice does not sound when they are selected. Can someone tell me if this computer voice is limited to the Excalibur only, or is there a way it can be used on any ship when Phase Quantum Torpedoes are selected?

thats interesting... i never got a voice that says loading Phase Quantums...

it might have something to do with a soundpak... SFX arent my speciality, so its just a guess :)

Thanks for the reply, blurb23.

The reason why you don't get the computer voice I mentioned is because you probably have the new version of the DYExcalibur.

The new version has the following missing parts:

1. The Phalantium Wave weapon is not available.

2. The computer voice when selecting either the Phase Quantum Torpedoes
or the Phalantium Wave is not available.

If you download and install the old version of the DYExcalibur, then as soon as you try selecting either the Phase Quantum Torpedoes or the Phalantium Wave, you will hear the computer voice.

I wouldn't do that, the old Excalibur scripts overwrote core files in the game.

It may well screwup your install.
