Possible Corrupt Files Hey all Thanks to the replies on my previous thread, I've gotten the crashers going perfectly. Anyways, today I downloaded and added several ships from BCFiles. I added all these ships, plugins and all, but when I attempted to start up BCFiles, I got a black screen with the Starfleet Delta as the cursor. Is one of the folloing files to blame, or is there a way to fix this without file removal? The Files I downloaded were: Negh'Var Son'a Battleship Venator Hecate Eximius Nagumo TOS Cruiser Quantum's Klingon D-7 Romulan Bird of Prey. If there are any ideas as to what has gone wrong and how to fix it, let me know. I'm new, so I don't know much about BC, mod wise. Admiral G |
Re: Possible Corrupt Files which ones are .BCMOD format? did u create the plugins with BCMP for non-BCMODs? if you go into testmode and push the ` key when u get the black screen of death, it should tell u which file is having issues |
Re: Possible Corrupt Files if you have BCMI.Net you can uninstall the mods to find which is the prob, and you could also disable the ship in BCMP to see which one it is. but like swimz101 said try the testmode. you could also try deleting the options.cfg in the BC folder. |
Re: Possible Corrupt Files did you test each ship after installing them? that's always a good idea, cuz then at least you could isolate the problem... |
Re: Possible Corrupt Files What wording do you put into the target line to activate testmode? I couldn't seem to isolate the problem, so I reinstalled. I'll remember this in case I have this problem in future. |
Re: Possible Corrupt Files here is a stickeyd thread with the info http://www.gamingforums.com/showthre...light=TestMode also, always remember to test each ship / mod after installing them... yes, it may be a bit more time consuming, but should any problems occur, you'll know more how to isolate and repair if possible |
