Temporal Torpedoes!!! Ok if you have see "year of hell" voyager episode where the krenim use Temporal Torpedoes....heres the explination of them... Temporal Torpedoes are out of phase with normal space time allowing them to skip shields doing direct damage to the hull.. And they look like a quantum with a whiter core and a more blueish on the outside of the torpedo... My idea was to makethe torpedo not too strong just a kind of quantum what skips shileds but as powerful as a photon.. !CAN ANYONE MAKE THIS TORPEDO MOD FOR ME IF YOU CAN LET ME KNOW BY REPLYING TO THE THREAD! :rock: :dance: :fistpunch: |

No and Yes! Well its torpedoes that look like quantum but more blue adn whiter core...that skips shields the reason for this is because there out of Phase wit hthe space time continum! |
The phased torpedoes don't tend to ignore shields, or at least from what I've seen. They still make the shield animation and still seem to hit the shields, not going through them. If I am however wrong, then am happy to admit it. Only reporting my observations of firing them on a ship with full shields at it's shield generator... the torpedoes should have gone thru shield and hit the generator. They instead hit the shield and didn't touch generator... is this right? Miles |
Ah, i know what your on about. The "Year of Hell" was when the timeline was being manipulated by the Krenim. One of the Ships that attacked Voyager was a Krenim Destroyer which fired a particular Torpedo from which you are trying to Describe. The Torpedo it fired was referred to as a "Chronaton Torpedo" which its warhead was in a state of temporal flux. That allowed it to pass through convensional shields and strike the hull of a starship. I hope i got that description right! :) |
Right name, those torps would be good ingame. Only thing is you'd need to give their yeild something small, as most torps will hit shields first, if these go through and do massive hull damage then it'll make it a little unfair. Or maybe make them slow moving, or so you have to get a pretty good lock before you fire (sorta like photons, so you have to lead target but these don't arc so much). Things like that. Am not sure how you'd CREATE a torpedo, let alone one that can pass through shields. I'm not a modder in any sense. I've modded a few ship-stats easily enough with the SDK tools but that's it. If anyone knows of the specific bit of code or attribute to make a torpedo ignore the shields or pass through then making the Chronoton Torpedoes could be relatively easy (for a modder). Miles |
Exactly Right Those are the torpedoes im on about...didn't i say chronoton anyway as quinnet said they should be like photons power and reletavely slow or little tracking ability requiring a more direct line up of the torpedoes....and any one know where we can find a modder with the ability to make these? :naughty: :eek: |
I made a Chronaton torpedo for use with Damocles X's Krenim Weapon ship, however it doesn't have a bluish tinge, but more of a light purple/pink tinge. After watching "Year of Hell" over and over, I tried to model the torpedo as closely as I could to what was seen on the show. If you download the Weapon ship, it should be included. Also, you may need to alter the tracking to suit your tastes, as I made it at least as maneuverable as a photon, and at least as powerful. In fact, it probably outperforms a photon in these respects, but that's just my interpretation.
