A2 help

(sorry mods, i didnt actually read the forum rules, until after i had posted the first time.)

erm...can anyone help me out with this problem;
i get this when i try to load A2:

A required .DLL file, D3D8.DLL, was not found

What does this mean?
and how can i correct it?

I would try going to .dll file download site such as www.dllfiles.com where you can obtain missing .dll files. They are quick to download, and the site will usually give you instructions on where to put the file. I dont know what your specific error means, but the name D3D8 seems to relate to graphics somehow. I would try those steps and see if it fixes youre problem.

do you have directx 8 or higher?

no. i have directx5 or 6

i can put directx8 on if i need it.
my sound card driver CD, has directx8 on it.

okay i have installed directx8

but now i get this problem:

The Armada2.exe file is linked to missing export D3D8.DLLirect3DCrete8

what can i do to get round this?

should i try reinstalling A2?

the newbie from the UK has fixed the problem.

in silent lords infinate wisedom, i have learned that to play A2, i simply had to delete the very file which it said i needed;
D3D8.DLL

now time to kill some borg.

also, does anyone know were i can get the Babylon5 mod for A2.
i had it for A1, but i heard there is one for A2(and yes i know there is a B5 demo in the downloads area, but i want the full thing not some demo)

i downloaded their sceensaver.
