Although I can't speak for MaP, I do believe the whole project was ridden with bugs (that being said, it was awesome, all those ships and stations...), even with all the patches, there was still some big bugs hanging about...so what I'm saying is in short, it had bugs and its most likely not your fault...

I have a quick question-as a sort of newbie to modding. I added Ghost's compilation mod to my game as a new race called "Federation 2". When I hit launch in Instant Action, the bar on the bottom goes all the way across and then the game crashes. Can anyone help? Is it an ODF problem, a SOD problem, a race problem? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to make sure you copy the Federation odf file and then rename it to...something and then add the relevant coding to races.odf -of its not here it'll be on armadaFleetCommand, theres a thread dedicated to creating a new race, fail that, try using the Big Book of Modding.

I have a problem may game hangs and I have to keep resetting the computer. It especially hangs when I do a multiplayer LAN battle.
I don't have a slow machine the specs are: -
Athlon XP 3200
ABIT AN7 M/Board
1GB DDR PC3200 RAM 512x2 dual channel mode
BFG Geforce FX 5700 OC
160GB Serial ATA 150 for the faster games like FAR CRY and Aqua Nox
160GB IDE for slower games like Armada 2, Bridge Commander, Elite Force 2
30GB IDE purely for backup
Running Windows XP Pro
DirectX 9.0c

Those are the specs and I suspect it is not a performance deficiency but I have not been able to locate the problem. It makes no difference whether it’s a modded game or not.
Please help its rather frustrating.

Okay, now I have a new problem. I really hope someone can help me with this. Only one of my maps will load. On the rest, on Instant Action, the game freezes and the indicator bar remains stuck at about 5-10%. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Question Borg Incursion 2

Sorry to bother you but I was wondering where I might be able to download a copy of your Borg Incursion 2 mod + patch as the site download is disabled. Cheers Andy

Quick problem that maybe someone can help me with.

I have done some EXTENSIVE modifications to my copy of Armada II over the years, basically picking and choosing ships and stations from mods that I liked and added them to my game manually. . .the result of this is a HUGE Armada II directory that was getting a bit big for the primary hard drive (yes, all the mods I added work!) so I made a new back up all the directories with the modified files (ODFs, SODs, ect), uninstalled AII from my primary hard drive and reinstalled it to my secondary drive. Then copied my back up back over. The ships and stuff I have added over the years still work, but here is the strange thing. In Instant Action not all of my maps will load. All the maps that come with AII still work and maybe 3 of the maps that I've downloaded from AIIfiles work, but most of them don't. They don't even show up in the IA window when the .bzn files are in the correct directory (I can't select them from the map list). So then I went to try to open them in the map editor - the program crashes. The few maps that show on the IA list, I can edit, but not the ones that don't. What I don't understand is that these are maps I have played frequently when the game was on my primary hard drive, but now that I have moved it they suddenly don't work. Could there be a left over registry setting somewhere that's screwing with the game? Any ideas?
