I don't think you can have empty builditem lines. Removing the extras should stop the crashing.

I have two possible casue of the problem for you.

One you need more memory.
Two theres an error in the Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h file of your A2 install.

If that dosen't work for you someone else will need to help you because that the limit of my understanding.

HELP! My game only loads the about the first 5% of the load bar on everything. I can't find an error in odf, techtree, or gui_global. What loads first at the load screen?

I think the error will be in thechtree. That causes this error - mostly.
Check for the following: You have to build A to build B, but you also have B to build A. It could be the problem.

hi my game crashes on 5% as well but i have verified that i have no pathetic tech tree additions and it also does it on freetech as well as stantard

please help

my klingonrace does't load anymoe. Ive checked all ships and stations. What else can it be?

What this is mean? It crashes or freezes while loading? If the first, then the error will be in the ship or station ODFs used at the start of the game (so generally kscout, kbase and kfreight for skirmish.
If the second, then the error will be in the techtree file.

both could also be caused by a error in the kling.odf file or races .odf

does it occour on ONLY the klingon race

This problem may be one that has many causes and is therefore almost impossible to solve without looking at my A2 directory but here goes: I haven't changed the AIP's in any way but when I launch a skirmish game as the federation it's fine, but when I play against a federation Ai, the game will only load for about a minute but then cuts off and I get the "A2 has stopped working" message, I have tried the game with all my modded ships taken out but the problem persists, I am running Windows Vista Home Basic, can anyone help?

Do you have the 1.2.5 patch installed? That may be a problem. Also, A nice screen will be nice

No, i'm not using any patches my version is 1.0 and the message is just the standard Vista "Armada 2 has stopped responding". It's the weirdest thing, all other races are fine but the federation will only play for about a minute.
