Unhappy Crashes with patch

I installed the A2 patch (Star Trek: Armada 1.2 Patch
Filename: armada_patch_1_2.exe),
and now the game crashes upon start. If I go back to the CD install it works fine. Is there a compatablility issue with certain video drivers? I have the Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family adapter. I have installed this game and the patch on several computers, including a Compaq recently with Vista, and experienced no problems. Any help on this?

quick question.

would a miss typed/spelled ect weapon cause a game to crash in its loading?

my game will crash at about the 90% loaded mark

Yes, it would. If you look at the first post, it says what kind of mistakes it would include to crash at that point.

well i have had ships that didnt have the right weapons b4, the game would load fine.

but once i build the ship then it would crash, or the ship would build fine then go to attack and then it would crash.

i know its ether the klingon bop pulse or torpedo because nothing else looks wrong on ships or stations (only leaves the 2 weapons i did edit)

ok so i didnt edit the BOP photon.

but i did change its pulse weapon.

it has to be this because the only other thing i did with the klingon ships and or stations, was.

give the orbital, 3 turret pulse weapons.

gave the starbase 3 turret photons.

gave every ship 2 or 3 more weapons that it already had.
(vor cha has 3 phasers)

every one of them were coppied and pasted, then the hard points that were not needed deleted, i was very careful with that, so it has to be this.

what say you?

Copy and paste all of the edited odf's into a new thread in this section. I think I may know what the problem is, but obviously I'd need to identify it.

hello, my armada2 crashes when i reload maps in the mapeditor, when i want to start up multiplayer. I thought i was caused by the odf files. So i made copies and replaced the older ones, but it didnt really helped. So if anyone of you knows what i have to do, pleaeaeaeaeaease tell me!

HELP HELP

I have the patch installed.

I can play single player just fine.

When I try to play a multiplayer game I get a message that says "Checking program assests" and then it crashes to the desktop.

This is on Windows Vista.

I checked the event viewer in Vista and found the actual error message:

I'm having a problem. I've heavily modified Ghost's Compilation mod, double checked everything to make sure all is how it should be. About 8 minutes later I get an "Access Violation error" and the game promptly crashes. Here is the report. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated. MaP, if you're still around, I know you can help with this.

Need more info. Are you doing the campain, IA, a saved game befor you installed the mod? Who are you fighting? Things like that.

The game setting is on hard. It's a single player campaign with the Klingons as an ally against 6 individual randomly selected opponents on AI Hard.

Maybe some races uses some weapon, ship, AIP, station etc. which is buggy.

Hello again everyone! Got another problem for ya. I have tried duplicating construction ships on my Armada 2 so that I would be able to have the different races be able to build different stations. I managed to create a secondary construction ship for the Federation and the Borg, but when I copied all of the relevant information I need to generate a secondary Klingon construction ship, the game crashes. The error message says: Out of Memory-Increase swap file size. Do any of you know how I can rectify this problem? As always, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

That pretty much always means a missing " in the odf file.
