| Then the problem probably lies within the ship ODF file. It is probably a missing quote tag. (The look like this ")

| First of all I want to thak you both for your help, and I've looked over the odf and uninstalled the game at least 6 time already but I still can't get the bird of prey to work, I can't even bring it up in the mapeditor without the game crashing. I am at a lost trying to figure it out, and replacing the odf with a different one didn't work either. Once again thanks for the help. |

| Well, my problem is for about two months that every time I start Armada II I get the loading bar and just at the end it crashes. As far as I can remember thelast thing I modded or better added were the 12 crazy planets from the site. I've been tryin for 2 months now to get the thing working again but I'lost all hope. I got to the point the point where I couldoffer money to someone to correct that. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!lol lots of greetings Ukko |

| I can't really help you to be honest. It's probably a bad entry in one of the ODF files or the techtree files, which means you will have to research them for a missing quote (") or something similar. If you can't be bothered to do that, you may as well re-install the game. That is unless you have hundreds of mods installed in which case, it's best to find and correct the problem.

| I'm not near major payne's level but I've had that problem and it was due to the referencing in the ship/station's ODF file that didnt exist, it's under //Explosion to use fireball = "*name here*" If the name in the quotes is not an explosion effect that exists in your game the computer doesn't know what explosion effect to load and thus the game crashes. To restore it to default you can delete the lines and it will the use the default for the class ("battle" "scoutBase" e.t.c) or you can add the name of another explosion you know you have. Sorry for the long post , hope it helps. |
