Default Scaling Animated SOD

I'm having a problem when trying to scale the Renegade Class from Jetfreak's Retexture Pack 1.0, which is a retex of SB34's Renegade, used as a construction ship in that mod. I want to scale the model down to make it the size of a destroyer, but when I do so, the animated section of the ship (where the work bees came out of when it was a construction ship) becomes detached from the rest of the ship. Is there any way I can keep those parts together when scaling other than editing the model, and if there isn't any other way to do this, what program would I use to edit the animation? Thanks!
