Re: Federation Compilation Mod Error Reporting Thread

OK, as far as the models that are in the mod this is the errors with the textures/meshes.

fedakula = Missing textures (warp pylons)
fedaraxes = Missing texture for the bottom of the saucer
fedbritain = Where's the blue for the warp coils(or was this intentional)
fedcargo = Texture/Mesh error on the front of the cargo containers
fedchallenger = Not lightmapped
fedcheyenne = Not lightmapped
feddanube = One of the two textures isn't lightmapped
fedfwd = Texture/Mesh error (4 panels on the station disappear)
fedhecate = Not lightmapped
fedmine = No textures
fedmineT = No textures
fedsaratoga = Impulse engines aren't lightmapped
fedshelley = No textures
fedsolidarity = Texture/Mesh error (around the deflector array and the
bottom of the ship)
fedupgrade = Texture/Mesh errors (most of the station is transparent)
fedreconquista = Not lightmapped
fedreconquistarelay= Not lightmapped
missle = No textures
missle1 = No textures
missle2 = No textures
Rotarran = Missing textures (front and rear of the cooling fins on the wings
above the hinge points)

I realize some of these problems may be on purpose as they may use stock textures or they were never going to be used in the mod to begin with.

Now, as for the game play and odf problems..well I don't really care about those, they are easy fixes most of the time, they just take a little patience is all (and a whole lot of proof reading).

On a side note, if you guys are looking for suggestions for new fed ships (already on the a2 site of course) for a second release I can come up with a list for you to act as an example, so would a few other people I think. Thanks to this Mod and the awesome modders we have here it replaced several ships of my current fleet with some nice and shiny new lightmapped versions of the ships I was using that weren't lightmapped. To everyone involved in this mod I just have to say this, Thank you and looking forward to the next release.

Thanks, Bastion! We'll see what we can do about these errors. Let us know what the game play/ODF errors are as well, please. They may not seem like much to you, but to newbies they could mean a huge problem.

I think we've got more than enough content for now, though. Although we're open to suggestions if there's truly epic content in question....

I think version 1.1 is on her way. Looking forward to it, like every mod it takes a while to iron all the bugs out. ;)

You should also correct the lights on that Achilles class. I know, correcting models isn't easy, but it's such a beauty...

Does anyone have a fix for this one? I've been trying to resolve this all weekend.

I tried to install your mod today, and i got to say, bad *setup* for installation, and the read me was very very bad, i havent seen one of those that poor of quality in years. Anyways, no go on the game play, fired up good old instant and ctd. With out much *reqiuresments you have its not worth chasing down the problem, my advice is come up with a vinilla build of the mod and package it. Save us the end user of your "wonderful" mod time and rather then having frustration because of some bad installation txts, and more pure enjoyment. Thanks my thoughts

Really? I was able to install this mod without a single flaw...the Mod worked perfect(started)...first time for me(in less then an hour).

I would say this was one of the best start up Mods ever(yea, they are a few in-game bugs).

I even installed another Mod from armada2files a few days later and spent a full day debugging it just for the game to start(missing files, mis-labeled commands).

any ideas?

Might seem too obvious, but make sure your not set to use "Free Tech".
I had the same issue, because the install i was using (i currently have about 7 different modded versions of A2 installed) had "free tech" as a default starting point. As soon as I changed it to standard tech, issue resolved.

Re: Federation Compilation Mod Error Reporting Thread

The mod was fairly easy to install, I think the SB34 team did the install in such a way so that it can be installed alongside other mods like Dan's Cardassian side for example.

I would appreciate it if you could bring to my attention a better setup for installation, in order to ensure that version 1.1 of this mod is easier for you to work with. It would be greatly appreciated.
