problems with network play
 

im trying to play a network game of A2... im trying to play on 2 computers, both have fresh v1.2 installs but when i try to connect to the other computer through tci/ip it keeps saying i have a different version..


any ideas?

I don't think you have two versions of A2 patched to 1.2, A2 only had one patch (1.1)

Is this A1 or A2?

both A2 and bother are patched to V1.1

Make sure that if you have modified/added a file to Armada 2, that it is the same for both computers.

Also, how far can you get to getting a game? Does it say that message on the Verifying game Assets screen, or does it prevent you from joining a game one of you has created?

like ive said both were totally fresh installs.. nothing modified..

i am able to create a game with one computer, see it with the other but when you try to join it says that host has a different version..
