Ships buildable from ships
 
Hi, i'm trying to make a venture class ship buildable from the soverign.

Does anyone know the odfs that would be involved in making it possible for a ship to create another ship?

should just be the sovreign, youll have to compare a contruction ship/ station, and its parent odfs (id use the ships parent odf) to see wat ur missin, pretty much just add the buildin commands in, a buildin hardpoint, and you might have to change class/ or somethin like that... just consult ur consturction ship.. shouldnt be hard to do... i did it a while back for a1

I've tried that, and i get the build menu, but there aren't any buttons for the ships. It just never seems to work!

Open Fbattle.odf from ODF\Ships, after Shieldrate:

carrier ships
 
:deal: Be sure to add: alwaysRecomputeRallpoint = 1
otherwise the built ships will return to the shipyard where the mothership was built.

and: builder_ship = 1
so this ship can built ships

yep good idea, idid this for a1 about a year ago, but never added the recompute line, damn ships always returned to their shipyard, was very annoying
