Re: Vesta-Class I've always been a big fan of this class of ship, outstanding work Kophjaeger and thank you for sharing this with the rest of us! |
Re: Vesta-Class I have started my attempt at the reduction. After mostly reconstruction of one of the groups, It has went from 22662 poly to 16816 poly. If I can have the same success on the rest of the model, she will be great. |
Re: Vesta-Class Good luck with the poly reductions SciFiFan in the mean time I took a snapshot of how she looks in fleet op's(I have yet to add the glows) :p http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/o...oRruMs/z-4.jpg |
Re: Vesta-Class Gimme that ship, I'm sure I can reduce it somehow :D Seriously, if someone would be so kind and send me the MS3D file and textures, I would start to work on with high priority. |
Re: Vesta-Class I now have her shaved down to 10124 poly. |
Re: Vesta-Class I think if someone can get her down to like 2500-3000 that would be an fantastic effort. Well worth a spot in anyone TNG A2 install. The funny thing is I would do a total rebuild if I was working on it, using the one here as a guide to get proportions and size correct. However if I did that I would want to do new textures to match Aad's however since I can't make textures would be a waste for me like all my other post-TNG models I have done. |
Re: Vesta-Class Nice sci-fi fan and dejavu. There were alot of easy vertices to merge I'm sure. If it were any other design, a rebuild would work, but I'm sure these guys can appreciate, she is a strange shaped craft. I've never spent so much time vertex nitpicking. 10k was about the size of the basic model if I recall |
Re: Vesta-Class Thanks again kophjaeger(yup she's a beauty alright). ;) http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/o...FoRruMs/zz.jpg |
