Trouble With Milkshape

I can't seem the find the importer tool for A1. I have the plugin installed but the option for A1 does not appear. Is it because i only downloaded the trial? Some insight on this would be much appreciated.

The Importer should work with either A1 or A2.

I've used MS3D trial version with the plugins and it works. Are you sure you've correctly installed the importers in your MS3D directory? I know I had the same problem first.

Also don't forget. The public version of the importer will only import stock ships that comes with the games.

Re: Trouble With Milkshape

okay, so i got milk shape working and decided, "Hey? Why don't i make a cardassian building ship?!" So i made all the meshes and textures but when i try adding the "joints" and naming them only part of the ship appears in my Storm 3D Tool. The meshes have under 8 or less characters, i have the main node, it's named h_scene root, and each node for the meshes is named in the following format: m_*meshname*. I am currently using a tutorial called the MS3d SOD tutorial that is not very helpful when it comes to directions or troubleshooting.

if anyone could write me a detailed description (with pix) of how this proccess of applying nodes is done correctly i would be VERY greatful.

You should try MAP (Major Payne's) MS3D Sod Tutorial, it's available on the main site I believe. Only other alternative is to import a stock model, remove the textures and mesh parts, save it as a new file then merge it onto your new model and just rename the joints to fit your mesh. Then finally move them around the export the model. ;)
