Just a wee update here, showing some of the UNSC models I have been building...
First, here is the Type 11 Corvette - fills a similar role to the Covenant Needler Corvette...

Its a little smaller than the UNSC Frigate, but has no MAC cannon...many many Machine guns though...
Here is a comparison with the Longsword model I plan to use...

I know - the longsword is a little inaccurate - I will probably play around with the shape a little - but I want 100's of these on screen at once - so they need to be low poly...
Next, lets play spot the Ship Class...

Has anyone experimented with shieldless vessles before?
Yeah. You also have to set "maxShields = 0" and "maxHealth = XXX" for it to work, though, IIRC. The Borg in my build don't use shields, and they don't have the shields-down sprite, work just fine, function without shields normally.

As you can see, things are progressing rapidly - though to be honest, this is the easy part. Modeling I can do, texturing too (hey, that rhymes) but I get a little lost when it comes to coding etc... I only just learned how to use spoiler tags, for gods sake!
Oh, and dont worry - the texture shown above is only a place holder, so I can see how the model looks when rendered by the A1 eng. I will do proper textures, I promise!
