You're more than welcome mate, I'm happy to pitch in.
I figured I'd post the images of the newly completed MAC weapon effect here, so those that aren't members of MSFC can see what it looks like
It's essentially a really powerful pulse weapon, with a long range and a slow rate of fire (as well as a small firing arc). Ingame once fired the round moves very very quickly (which you can't really see from the pics) and does a hell of a lot of damage.
Here's some pics of the MAC weapon being fired from the Halcyon Class (at a Covenant DSS Class destroyer)

I should have another weapon effect (for the Covenant this time) ready to show soon
Nice! I can't wait to see the Covvy weapons. I think with the three of us, we should be able to make the best looking mod since Fleet Ops.
Wire frames of the other UNSC ships would be awesome. You didn't need to ask if I would do the buttons, I intended to do them anyway. We should also start brainstorming Covenant names for their ship classes. I set the class name box to be part of the wire frame and therefor it can vary from race to race because I didn't think that the Covenant's name for a CCS was CCS. It just seemed like a UNSC naming style.
I would also like to mention that some of the stuff from Midnight Universe will work in A1 and most of what won't has been converted for the unfinished Armada: Fleet Command mod for A1. FG and I were on the mod team until the mod kind of died off. By the way, FallenGraces, have you seen AFC recently?
One last thing. Megadroid at the Fleet Ops forums figured out how to code campaign mission scripts. I know we're not nearly there yet but I thought I should probably mention it. The thread is here.
Good night, forum. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning.

Funny you should say that - I said a really similar thing over at MSFC yesterday...
C.A.B.A.L, if your not already a member, I suggest you PM Majest and ask to be added - as a member of the mod team, you should have access to teh forums there too - we have our own section!

That is bloody good thinking! Have you got any ideas for the build button lay outs?
As for UNSC / Covenant designations - I have the following thoughts so far...
Spoiler:
Covenant - UNSC Seraph - same Gigas - same Tarasque - same Illumination Class - CLC (this isnt done yet - I thought I would add a light scout corvette to the Covenant...) Jackal Class - CNC (Needler Corvette) Jirilhanae Class - CAR Sword of Sanghelios Class - DSS Sword of Sanghelios Class Ultra Variant - CSS (Grey Variant) Messiah Class - CPV (The one with the fins - seen in Halo Wars, I think) Absolution Class - CCS Absolution Class Ultra Variant - CSS-a Reverence Class - CFS Transendence Class - CAC (Assault Carrier) Fervent Class - CFC (Small Carrier - Variant of the CFS)
I think it would add an extra dimension to the mod, and add a little to the Halo universe... for example, a conversation between two UNSC Pilots;
Pilot1 - "Damn man, you were at Reach? I heard the action was hot there...really hot, like 80%+ casualties and all kinds of s**t hitting the fan...(offers a cigarette)
Pilot2 - Yeah...(lighting up and taking a draw, exhales)... damn split chins were crawling all over; orbital counted minimum 2 Alpha Charlies (short for Charlie Alpha Charlie - CAC, or Assault Carrier...) in orbit, and multiple Charlie Papa Victors (CPV Class Destroyers) inbound before they went offline...
Yeah, Im no Quentin Tarantino . but you get the idea...

Again, good call - single player is important - and I thnk a campaign (even released later as an addon pack) will bring this to a whole new level...
Dear science, please start solving problems and curing diseases or shut the fuck up.
Actually Dan, I never noticed in the post over at MSFC, but the Phong lighting on those plasma cannon is spot on! - I think its becoming more popular now to think about the lighting in game - but was kinda over looked for alot of mods in the past... Im really getting excited about where we can take this...
also, Im really looking forward to what you do with the plasma torpedos...I get the feeling they will be special, very special...

I started the Covvy UI, but I killed it before I even finished one panel because it looked nothing like a Covenant hologram.
Spoiler:
I quickly started looking for better pics of Covenant holograms to base the UI on, which are remarkably difficult to find. Seriously, try Googling "Covenant hologram" and see if you can find anything relevant other than the holograms of Truth and Regret that show up throughout the Halo 2 and 3 campaigns.
I eventually started on the newer version of the UI, but I only have the name panel done so far. Nonetheless, it looks much more like a Covenant hologram.
Spoiler:
The Covvy UI will have such goodies as meters that shrink to the right instead of to the left and a complete lack of background panels.
