Question New Fed Campaign

ok, so here's the storyline. The Romulans ambushed Riker and the Titan, destroying her in the Neutral System shortly after he took command in 2379. This has created an uproar with the federation, as the Enterprise leads a task force to preform "negotiations" with the Romulans, they discover that Romulan government has been over-thrown and the cities of Romulus lay in riun. the Remans have taken over, and now are hungry for the revenge of Shinzon. Once the Enterprise sent back a subspace transmission to reveal the plot, they were quickly discovered by a Reman patrol. All ships with the exception of the Enterprise and the Venture, a scout ship with a cloaking device are destroyed. The Enterprise escorted back to Romulus, with the Venture close behind trying to figure out just what the hell is going on. The Venture discovers massive shipyards, as well as masses of readings on Tachyon sensors, indicating more of these shipyards, only cloaked. The Enterprise is disabled by the Remans, and then taken to one of these shipyards. Venture receives data that shows the Senior Staff, including Capitan Picard, have been taken to the surface. The Venture warps back to Earth to report this. Deciding that there is no way to tell just how powerful the Remans have become, the Federation turns to Starfleet's best kept secret: Section 31. Section 31's flagship, the USS Guardian is the very apogee of the Alpha Quadrant's technology. She has the very best of everything there is to offer. Her Capitan, Kole Delisa, is informed of the current problem and is ordered quite simply to "fix it". Delisa is givin command of a small task force to accomplish this, all composed of Section 31 vessels.

ok, tell me what you think! nothing really is set in stone (other than the USS Guardian) so any advice/suggestions are welcome.

Sounds good so far but I do have a few questions, how long do you think it will take you and is it just you working on this?

It'd never happen. When the Federation is faced with a threat, the Federation turns to its worst kept secret: it'd rather talk than fight. Until those Remans actually make a dent in the Neutral Zone (not the Neutral System --and how did Riker get himself caught in the Neutral Zone to begin with? And how did Starfleet manage to arrange to get the Venture across the Neutral Zone with a tachyon detection grid on board, then back and forth to Romulus but lose two capital ships in the process?) ---anyway. Until the Remans actually cross the Neutral Zone and make war, the Federation Council isn't going to approve any expedition of war, official or otherwise, when the Remans look to be just waiting for the right provocation in order to strike. I like the idea of cloaked shipyards but Section 31 doesn't need starships of its own. And a lot of the details in the furthering of the Romulan plotline have been dealt with in the new novel series that's been written after Nemesis. (Mind you, I'm not fond of the details of THAT series, either.... I'm just very, very hard to please.)

yeah, sorry for the Neutral zone typo, I just realized that after i posted. as for Riker in the Neutral zone, thats explained at the end of Nemesis. You're right, the federation probably wouldent send in the Enterprise and a task force to fight them, but what if they were sent strictly to investigate what happened further? As for turning to diplomacy rather than fighting, thats very true of the Federation, but not of Section 31. Memory Alpha describes them as being the "Judge, Jury, and Executioner" of the Alpha Quadrant. in fact, Memory Alpha states that they operate autonomous from starfleet, so i could kill the affiliation and make this something Section 31 takes into their own hands? like i said, the only thing thats set in stone is the Guardian, and I'm waiting for permission to slightly modify a Century class for the actual ship. as for timing, I'm guessing a couple months, I'm relatively new to mission editing, but I've read up quite a bit on how to do it. thanks for the help on that, its appreciated!
